It is possible that patients have swelling the days after the operation because during the operation a serum is injected to swell the scalp. There is no health risk or dangerous impact on patients, but to avoid these swelling we provide patients with bandages that must be used during the first 5 days.
During the healing phase, patients may have itching or tenderness whether in the donor or transplanted area. To reduce that Symptoms, we advise patients to use aloevera-based gels or panthenol-based body lotion for the donor area and physiological saline for the transplanted area.
